Author's revised copy. Interleaved; with many additions, corrections and notes in MS. by the author, and numerous inserted illustrations, cuttings, etc.

Letters variously dated between 1897 and 1913 are inserted; the writers are: Helme (François) [1858-1923], Nass (Lucien), Maeterlinck (Louis), Riche (Auguste) [1824-1892], Inman (Charles) Oudiette (Paul), Caric (I. Octave), Cabanès (Augustin) [1862-1928], Grand-Carteret (Jean) [1850-1927] and Thebault (Victor).

On the third fly-leaf the author has written "Ce volume a été présenté à l'Academie de Médecine, le 30 janvier par le docteur [Charles] Porak [1845-1921], membre de l'Académie, ancien accoucheur en chef de la Maternité".
