Epileptoid 'functional decortication'. Also the views of Hughlings Jackson, re epilepsy, aphasia, etc. Epilepsy and equivalents due to organic cerebral lesions, including cystericercosis etc. Diagnostic questions: 'laryngeal vertigo' (ictus laryngeus), 'carotid artery syncope) (but see 'carotid sinus syncope' elsewhere in my collection 'Abnormal Flushing, Blushing and Sweating (second series)'), cataplexus (but see 'narcolepsy' collection, included in another collection on encephalitis lethargica (first series). 'Musicolepsy (Macdonald Critchley). The whole subject of the 'discharging lesion' in neurology. The convulsive tendency according to age and inherited constitution: 'latent epilepsies' and 'cortical rhythm'. Restless or 'jittery' legs etc. Recurrent epilepsy or epileptic equivalent due to cerebral cysts--cystericercosis etc. Epilepsy or migraine with angioneurotic oedema. Hysterical amnesia--in differential diagnosis from amnesias of epilepsy equivalents, cerebral traumatisms etc. Feigned epilepsy (in war time etc). Amnesia in altered states of consciousness.
