Biographical note

In the 1960s Ms Harrison worked and studied in the US in the area of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation. She worked with some of the early proponents of the treatment, including Herman Kabat, Margaret Knott and Dorothy Voss. She later returned to the UK and gave lectures on the subject. She was also involved in talks with the Secretary of State regarding the role of the physiotherapist and other remedial practitioners in the overall healthcare system, c.1980s.
