Description
Gasson, who is titled Rover Dacre F Gasson in his certificates, was a member of the `Rover Movement', a group of people belonging to the British Red Cross Society Blood Transfusion Service who were prepared to give blood any time of the day or night. His conations were made between Mar 1926 and Mar 1939 for cases at the following hospitals: Charing Cross; Guy's; China Inland Mission Nursing Home; St John's; West London; King George, Ilford; St Bartholomew's; The Cancer Hospital; The London; Queen Mary's Hospital, Straford; Victoria, Southend-on-Sea. The reports of transfusion results include the date of transfusion, hospital, surgeon and amount of blood drawn; the recipient's case number, sex, age, blood group, disease or injury; and the outcome of the transfusion.
