MS.3821 purchased 1911 (acc.34573). Provenance of MS.6241 not known.

The author was a physician and medical historian who qualified M.D. at Oxford in 1880 and was physician to St. Thomas's Hospital in 1887 [see the Dictionary of National Biography].
