Description

A reprinted copy of the seventh edition of the handbook used by student nurses. The handbook was originally published in 1885 by a committee of Scottish members of the Scottish Medico-Psychological Association. This book was the official textbook for the Mental Nursing Certificate course offered at Crichton Royal Institution and 'follows closely the Syllabus of Training for Mental Nurses laid down by the Association.' It is split into thirteen sections relating to different aspects of nursing and the care of mentally ill patients.
