Framed painting by Captain R.B. Beechey in 1877 with the caption "The Most Northern Encampment H. M. S. Alert". Wellcome Collection does not hold the painting. The item was part of a polar exhibition held in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum's central hall in July 1930.
