Photograph of illustrations from Medicina Antiqua, a 13th century manuscript held by the Austrian National Library (Codex Vindobonensis 93), depicting the use of the 'Botto' herb as a laxative in a draught with text in Latin surrounding and marginalia underneath. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 9th October 1935 (PHO 5158).
