Letter from J B S Haldane to E L Tanner, UCL Secretary, dated 13 Aug 1946 asking for an increased departmental grant to cover the cost of two research students.


Letter from Mr Armstrony, UCL Accountant, to Haldane dated 23 Aug 1946 confirming that the departmental grant for 1946-1947 is £570.


Letter from Haldane to Armstrong enclosing a letter sent to Tanner dated 24 Aug 1946 stating that the department would like an increase in grant from £400 to £600, in addition to the £170 added to cover the cost of new binoculars.


Letter from Armstrong to Haldane dated 29 Aug 1946 informing him that his request for an extra £200 in the departmental grant will be put before the Budget Sub-Committee in October.e
