This file formed part of a chronological sequence of files of Cherns' papers, in this case covering 1971-1973; at some stage, however, some material from the 1980s was added to it.

Contains:

7 page printed listing of Cherns' papers published 1968-1976 and others listed as "forthcoming", the list presumably dating from c.1977.

"Samuel Gurney Trust": papers correspondence relating to the work of the Samuel Gurney Trust for Social Responsibility. This includes correspondence between Cherns and Julian J. Knox, Sept.-Nov.1986, and between Cherns and John Irvine, Nov.1986; a document concerning a consultation by The Samuel Gurney Trust on its work, on the 13th November 1986; and an extract from a report by Julian Knox to the Chairman, Shell International plc, 1985.

"Beta Yisrael Van Leer Foundation": document entitled "Community and Education Project for Beta Yisrael Van Leer Foundation, Work Plan March 1, 1986- February 28, 1987" (Chasia Levin, Project Director), plus associated handwritten material.
