Description
Dr William Stanley Sykes (1894-1960), an accomplished practitioner and historian of anaesthesia, published the first volume of the above in 1960 and died while the second volume was at press. Ellis published previously unpublished materials in Volume 3, which appeared together with a reissue of the first 2 volumes in 1982. Includes Ellis' research notes, correspondence and photocopied articles.
