And, if the fame benefit (hall be derived from it in fimilar cafes, its intro- duction, in this manner, mayjnfldy be confi- dered as a difcovery of great importance in the praAice of medicine. In the firft cafe which Mr Latham relates, the patient was a gentleman upwards of 70 years of age, thin, and of a delicate confiitu- tion, but tolerably healthy, temperate in his diet, and ufed moderate exercife.
