These papers analyse patients' income and expenditure in different ways, with comparative information on Retreat income and expenditure from 1825-1846, and a comparison of the various costs at the Retreat and at a number of Scottish Asylums in 1845 Also given is an analysis of receipts from non-Quaker patients at the Retreat in 1846, including totals from them since their admission, as well as information on rates and terms of all patients in 1846 (numbers only, not names), and a separate analysis of rates paid by the numbers of 'upper class' patients. Incidental information in these papers includes number in 'family' as well as number of patients 1825- 1846: the difference in the two totals representing the number of staff One paper gives note of receipts of unconnected patients with the Society of Friends in 1848 and 1849
