About this work

Description

The Physiological Society's audio visual collection contains the oral history collection and related paperwork, as well as the Society's VHS video collection.

There is additional film material in the Wellcome Library's Moving Image and Sound Collection (MISC) which can be found in the online catalogue.

Additional material from accessions 2168, 1769 and 1646 includes some photographs of oral history interviews listed in this section taken by Martin Rosenberg for the 'Images of Physiology' project (see SA/PHY/Z/3/5). As part of this project Martin Rosenberg visited various Physiology departments at UK universities. Photographs were taken of buildings, laboratories, staff and students, and sometimes additional audio recordings were made of these sessions. This work aimed to document key research and education in Physiology and to connect with affiliate membership institutions, professors and students. A set of interview tapes and transcripts from these sessions can be found in SA/PHY/Z/3/5/15.
