Description

Letters between Maurice Cornforth and J B S Haldane regarding the content and arrangement of the syllabus for a proposed book on "Scientific Materialism: The Scientific Picture of the World", and the arrangement of meetings to discuss the book, particularly with regards to the second section on Biology. Cornforth's letter of 4 June 1947 encloses a draft synopsis of F Parker Rhodes' chapter; and his letter of 1 March 1948 encloses a synopsis for the Biology section, revised by Dr R Synge.
