About this work

Description

Correspondence with G A Mallinson (Assistant Secretary, Pharmaceutical Society of Great Brtitain), meeting notes, and a large number of cuttings and typed extracts from trade journals, concerning BW&Co terms of business.

"Mr Mallinson [Local Pharmaceutical Associations] felt that BW&Co must recognise that pharmacists could not carry on their business with the present margin of profit which they obtained upon BW&Co goods. He thought the firm should appreciate that now competition was very much keener, and although BW&Co's position was unique in regard to the prices they could ask for their goods some eight or ten years ago, there were today rival houses, more or less of equal standing, competing very severely with them" (Notes from meeting, 27 February, 1920).
