Description

Bound printed order of ceremonial for the service of thanksgiving for the Prince of Wales's recovery from illness, St. Paul's Cathedral, 1872.

Pasted into the front endpapers are a lithograph portrait of Queen Victoria as a young woman, undated, and a signed autograph letter in German by her, 1859.

Pasted into the rear endpapers are a printed document comissioning Henry Philips to the rank of cornet, signed by Victoria, 1865; letters patent recognising the appointment of Mr. Dillon as French consul at Newcastle, signed by Victoria and the statesman Lord Aberdeen (George Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen (1784-1860)), 1842; and a French magazine cutting on Queen Victoria's home life as a young mother, undated.
