    COUTTTY 00 UH OIL FOR THE SOKE OF PETERBOROUGH. PUBLIC HEALTH __REP_ORT ___FO_R YEAR I present a brief typewritten report on the health and nanitary circumstances of the County. Dr Collins resigned his positions- as Medical Officer of Health to the City of Peterborough and Gohool Medical Officer to the City Education Authority. Ho was succeeded in those costs by Dr William Johnstone. H.D Giant D.P.II- Cambridge who is n a whole time official. Dr Collins also resigned his post as Medical Officer of Health to the Rural District of Peterborough and mas succeeded in this post by Dr Harold Clapham. It is gratifying to record the appreciation expressed by his Council for his many years of service in the cause of public health. During his tenure of. office many noteworthy improvements in san.ito.tion were made. • - I need only mention tho drainage of Walton end Herrington and the 'housing schemes at Walton and Eye. lie anticipated by many years the work done in other areas undor tho Housing Acts of 1009 and 1018.
