    IN CHANCERY. In the matter of the Rev. Paul Saumarez, a lunatic. John Gimingham, of Cadogan-place, in the county of Mid¬ dlesex, Esq., the brother-in-law and surviving Committee of the person and estate of the said Lunatic, maketh oath and saith, that Richard Saumarez, Esq., a Captain in the Royal Navy, is the heir-at-law of his brother the above-named Paul Saumarez, a Lunatic ; and that the said Richard Saumarez, the brother of the said Lunatic, is now residing at St. Helier’s, in the Island of Jersey: And this deponent further saith, that Carteret Giming¬ ham, this deponent’s wife, (formerly Carteret Saumarez, spinster,) the said Captain Richard Saumarez, Frederick Walshman Sau¬ marez, of Salisbury, Gentleman, and Martha, the wife of Charles de Havilland, a Major in the army, (formerly Martha Saumarez, spinster,) are the only next of kin of the said Lunatic. Sworn at the Public Office, Southampton Buildings, Chancery Lane, in the County of Middlesex, the day of 1835. Before me, The state of Facts of Richard Saumarez, the Eldest Brother and Heir-at-law, one of the next of kin of the said Lunatic. Sheweth, That by an order of the Right Hon. the Lord High Chan¬ cellor, made in this matter, bearing date the 26th day of March, 1835, upon the petition of John Gimingham, the surviving Committee of the person and estate of the said Lnnatic, it was ordered that it should be referred to William Brougham, Esq., to enquire and certify, who is or are the most fit and proper person or persons to be appointed the Committee or Committees of the person and estate of the above-named Paul Saumarez, in consequence of the said Richard Saumarez deceased, the other Committee ; and also to enquire and certify, who is or are now the heirs or heirs-at-law and next of kin of the said Paul Sau¬ marez, to whom due notice of attending the said Master was to be given ; and after the said Master should have made his Report, such further order should be made as should be just. That in pursuance of an order of the Right Hon. the Lord Chancellor, having date the 17th day of April, 1834, made upon the petition of Richard Saumarez, Esq., a Commission in the nature of a Writ de Lunatico Tnquirendo was awarded and
