Description

Heatley's correspondence with Dr Gladys L Hobby, Pennsylvania, USA, regarding original records in his care to help her write a history of the discovery of penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics from events following Fleming's discovery in 1928 to the introduction of the semi-synthetic penicilllins some twenty-five years later. Mainly various queries that arose during the writing of the book including sourcing of photographs. Contains a copy photograph of Dr Andrew Moyer and Dr Norman Heatley in 1941 in the USA (supplied by Dr Robert Coghill). File mainly covers 1977-1983, but includes one personal letter from Hobby sent May 1988.
