The Association's stated functions include "To represent the interests of retired members [...] of the CSP at all levels and in all sectors,
To Provide a communication network for retired members
To compile a directory of retired members of the profession identifying areas of expertise and experience
To provide a conduit of communication between the CSPRA and the general membership, Council and Standing Committees of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy".
The first meeting of the Association was held 28 Oct 2003.
