Description

Document to accompany Dr C. C. Easterbrook's notes on a visit made in 1913 to America, and referring to the proposed Central Recreational and Therapeutic building at the Institution. It provides details of the features which should be included, such as a Recreation Hall, Canteen, Library and Reading Room, Gymnasium, Hydrotherapy and massage suites, Electrotherapy room, Occupational Therapy suite for arts and crafts, Dental Treatment room and Museum.

The proposal for a Central Recreational and Therapeutic building at Crichton Royal Institution was realised in 1938 when Easterbrook Hall was officially opened.
