Description
1 drawing by Psychiatric patient 1 "Heinz" depicting a group of Nazis saluting with Hitler, who is standing on the left. The image is mainly in grey pastel. The foot of the image is dated 1950. The drawing is discussed in Rita Simon's book The symbolism of style, page 188, and reproduced on page 189. Simon notes it is a copy of a photograph from a newspaper cutting "Heinz" carried in his wallet
The title has been taken from wording written on the verso.

Biographical note
The patient was a male German Jewish refugee working in the 1950s. He was paranoid and seemed to compensate for this through admiring Hitler and kept a photograph of Hitler on his person. "Heinz" attended therapy sessions once a week at a psychiatric centre. He had very precise English diction and sat very straight when drawing.
