About this work
Set of handwritten notes by Charnley which is comprised mostly of a dream diary. The dream entries are all individually dated and give a brief summary of the dream. They are all in typescript, although there is also a large volume of handwritten drafts. Some of these drafts contain illustrative sketches or annotations. There are also some related texts: a long list of dream imagery and a creative text entitled, 'Visions of Bryan: Hypnagogic Hallucinations', as well as a set of handwritten 'poetry notes' and some other notes about psychology and schizophrenia. Amongst the dream stories are a small subset of diary entries (dating June-July 1989) which contain handwritten notations of various timings, both the times of day and lengths of time (of sleep?), these are recorded alongside quotations and personal observations.
