Black sketchbook containing drawings of animals, faces and figures, buildings, coastline and early ideas for Beales' "By the Sea" series of digital pictures. The sketchbook is undated, the date given was provided by David Beales.

The digital pictures for "By the Sea" are in PP/DBL/A/1/3. The preparatory drawings are in PP/DBL/A/3/1 and other related material is in PP/DBL/A/4/18 and PP/DBL/A/5/3.
