Diary of Margaret Legg during her visit to Bonté Elgood in Cairo in Jan/Feb 1955. Two exercise books and envelope of ephemera of her travel, including correspondence with the Egyptian Ambassador dated 29/11/1954 about her visa and a programme of a performance of the Saison Lyrique Italianne at the Theatre De L'Opera, Cairo.

Also contains two letters one dated 18/02/1955 from Margaret Legg to her husband Stewart where she describes being stiff from camel riding and and another to her daughter Ruth dated 05/02/1955 about formal entertaining and life with servants, including a photograph of herself.
