A2 leaflet promoting the inaugural historical symposium on physiology organised by the History and Archives Committee, 13 September 2016 at the Wellcome Collection, London.

25 delegates attended. The event featured an introduction by committee chair Graham Dockray; a brief history of the Society by honorary archivist Tilli Tansey; an overview of HAC activity by Society outreach officer Anisha Tailor; a case study of historical research by David Miller talking about his Paton Prize bursary research on Sydney Ringer; an overview of the Society archive by Amanda Engineer, Wellcome Library; break out sessions discussing ways the Society can develop and encourage use of its archive; tour and viewing of the Wellcome Library and Physiological Society archives; and a plenary lecture on the history of elite performance.

On the reverse are details of a photography competition inviting Society members to submit images to help document today's landscape in physiology.
