About this work
Description
A painting by psychiatric patient 12 depicting two yellow birds and a blackbird sitting on tree branches. According to Rita Simon, when in conversations with Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997, the yellow birds are female and have knowing expressions.

The title has been taken from the caption used in Rita Simon's publication.
Rita Simon's classification: Archaic Massive but has been altered to Archaic Transition.
