A Revolving: Fan Appliance for Dental Engines. We, Fred Whit Gould, of Craven House, Northumberland Avenue, London, Dentist, and Lawrence Read, Chairman of the Dental Manufacturing Co., Ld., of (j, Lexington Street, London, W., do hereby declare the nature of this inven¬ tion to be as follows: — 5 This invention relates to a revolving fan appliance adapted to be fitted to the tool carrier or hand piece of a dental engine. The function of the fan is to create a draught of air for cooling impressions in the mouth and also for -reviving patients in case of faintness. According to our invention, the fan resembles an ordinary ventilating fan and 10 consists of a series of spiral blades or vanes (preferably of aluminium for lightness) mounted on a short shaft or mandrel the latter being so constructed and arranged as to fit the tool carrier or hand piece of the dental engine. The boss or centre of the fan is provided or formed with a convenient clamp or holder for the recep¬ tion (if a small pjiece of Sponge or other absorbent substance or material, which 15 being saturated with a suitable perfume or restorative will increase the revivifying effect of the revolving fan in cases of faintness.
