Reproduction of a photograph of Thomas Heazle Parke (1857-1893), Irish doctor and army medical staff. He was part of Sir Henry Morton Stanley's expedition to Africa in 1871. The reproduction is from The American testimonial banquet to Henry M. Stanley in recognition of his heroic achievements in the cause of humanity, science & civilization, and a greeting to his chief officers, Portman Rooms, London, May 30th, 1890.
