Photograph of illustrations from Medicina Antiqua, a 13th century manuscript held by the Austrian National Library (Codex Vindobonensis 93), depicting a surgeon applying a bandage to a man's knee with text in Latin above and between. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 9th October 1935 (PHO 5153).
