"Statement of Case by the Chairman" proposing: "That the recommendation of the Chairman and of Mr Witt, acting under Resolution No. 2317, passed by the Board on the 22nd May 1935, in favour of the Candidature of Mr W E O Walker-Leigh for the post of Managing Director of CM&R Ltd be received and considered."

2 December, 1935. Report to Directors by The Chairman and Mr H Tansley Witt. "Out of more than 700 replies, including the result of enquiry, only six men ultimately appeared worthy of consideration. Of these, one Candidate - Mr W E O Walker-Leigh [-] appears to us to be possessed of excellent, if not exceptional, qualifications."
