Description
A set of sixty-six laboratory notebooks created by Ashburner in the 1960s and 1970s, all numbered and arranged in sequence. The following numbers are missing: 6; 9; 11; 13; 15; 18; 20; 32; 42; 48; 54; 81. Number 47 was kept by Ashburner in his work file on Cecidomyiidae (catalogue reference PP/MIA/E/3/3), number 52 was kept with his research files (catalogue reference PP/MIA/A/3/8/2) and number 86 was kept with his micrographs (catalogue reference PP/MIA/A/6/2/16/8). Numbers 36, 55 and 57 are negatives books and are in PP/MIA/A/5/1.
