Purchased from: Charavay, Paris, December 1927; Desgranges, Paris, July 1930. nos. 4-23 transferred to the Library from the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1964 as part of the French Collection of books and manuscripts, whose earlier provenance is not recorded; in the case of these items they appear to have been presented to the collection by Vincent himself.
