Description
In 1962-1963 and 1968 Heatley undertook sabbaticals and secondments in the USA working on the duodenal hormones secretin and pancreozymin (the latter is now known as Cholesystokinin). From Sep 1962-Mar 1963 he worked with Dr S Lepkowsky at the Department of Poultry Husbandry, University of California College of Agriculture, Berkeley, California. From 14 May to 28 Jun 1968 he worked with Dr J Love at the Department of Surgical Research, Baltimore City Hospitals, Baltimore. The papers in this section provide a partial record of the work he undertook in this field.
