Purchased from Charavay, Paris, December 1927 and at an unknown date before 1936. Accession details of nos. 2, 8 not noted; nos. 4-7 and 9-11 transferred to the Library from the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1964 as part of the French Collection of books and manuscripts, whose earlier provenance is not recorded.
