Correspondence regarding the activities of the Research and Clinical Committee on Mental Deficiency of the Royal Medico-Psychological Association, and its discussion concerning racial theories, blood groups and Down's syndrome, with enclosed minutes. The file also contains correspondence regarding methods to document patient family histories; intelligence distribution studies; and comments by Lewis and Penrose on each other's papers.

Also enclosed are a copy of Lewis's obituary in the Lancet, and related correspondence.
