Notes

This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Late 1920s or 1930s German publicity card for the actor, writer, and director Gustav Frohlich (1902-1987) in an unidentified film role. He is wearing naval uniform (?) and lipstick. The prevalent style of exaggerated make-up used in film in this period can make even the most upstanding examples of heterosexual manhood seem effeminate to a later viewer".
