Biographical note
The Board, which was established in 1966, had responsibility "to make known, in Physiotherapy and in other ways, the Board's interest in promoting and co-ordinating research in physiotherapy and in matters affecting the practice of physiotherapy. To encourage an appreciation of research in the profession. To make known information about research undertaken and to stimulate discussion as to how the findings of such research might be applied to the practical situation. [...] To Encourage physiotherapists and others to suggest suitable projects, to assess such projects, and where appropriate to encourage their investigation."
