About this work

Description

A note by Paton, dated July 1991, and placed at the head of the file, refers "a nasty little episode, to my mind: I think Houghton getting revenge for RDS opposition to his Bill, and Halsbury and Ashby willing to connive." The file contains, in addition to correspondence from 1980 regarding Appendix 2 of the Minutes of Evidence of the Select Committee on the Halsbury Bill, earlier papers from the Department of Pharmacology, Oxford, that touch upon the use of animals in practical classes.
