Description

1 April, 1905. Copy Agreement between William Cooper & Nephews and James William Probert (and Alice Sophia Probert, wife), appointing James Probert as Manager of the estate Gonubie Park, East London, Alice Probert "to undertake the charge of the Dairy Work, Poultry Yard, the Management of the household and of such other duties as are usually performed by the wife of a farmer or manager of a farm." The Agreement notes that "the primary object of the acquirement of the Gonubie Park Estate by the Proprietors is experimental work in the destruction of ticks and the investigation of Diseases in Stock."

30 April, 1908. Copy Agreement between William Cooper & Nephews and James William Probert, appointing him as a travelling representative in "any part of South Africa".

21 September, 1910. Signed copy Agreement between William Cooper & Nephews and James William Probert, appointing him as a travelling representative in "any part of South Africa".
