Description
A group of medals commemorating Max Joseph von Pettenkofer (1818-1901), Xavier Bichat (1771-1802), Pierre Potain (1825-1901), Michel Eugene Chevreul (1786-1889), Luigi Galvani (1737-1798). The medals were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1950 (four have accession number R164/1950 (Pettenkofer), R97/1950 (Bichat), R16/1950 (Potain) and R29/1950 (Chevreul). They are not held by Wellcome Collection.
