Correspondence (1973-75) regarding the Zaria Scheme: "Originating in Liverpool [School of Tropical Medicine], this [Scheme] was to study the pattern of some common endemic diseases, and their socio-economic effect in a defined area of Northern Nigeria, before and after the changes resulting from a Government plan to build some small dams and to modernize the farming system." (Extract from Paton, 'Notes on visit to Ghana and Nigeria', 6 January, 1975.) The file also includes four papers (1963-73) by Brian Maegraith, Dean of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
