Enquiry as to whether Colonel Walker would allow Colonel Grierson to propose him as a fit person to become a Director of the Crichton Royal Institution, and asking him to call on Dr Adamson, Secretary to the Board, for further information about the required duties.

Colonel William Grierson of Bardannoch (1877-1865) was Elizabeth Crichton's brother and one of the five original Trustees named by James Crichton in his will.
