HE Atrophia La&antium, Tabes Nutri- cum, or that emaciation which arifea from the fuckling of children, is a difeafe with which phyficians are not unacquainted. But its more frequent occurrence, Dr Walker ob- ferves, in the town and neighbourhood of Leeds,'renders it now a fubje&of moreferious confideration than formerly, and efpecially to the inferior clafles of females, to whom it i9 particularly incident. It mult therefore ap- pear to be a matter of importance to point out the caufe of this growing malady, and to ex- cite the attention of pra&itioners towards it.
