Description
During WW2 penicillin in the UK was manufactured by the government. In 1947 control passed to The Distillery Co (Biochemicals) Ltd based in Merseyside. BW&Co, alongside other companies such as Glaxo and Boots, obtained their supplies of penicillin from DCBL.
