About this work

Description

Very little early material on training and education survives. The only pre-war items are examination papers (L.1/6). There is a little material on health visitor training, 1926, in file H.10/3 and correspondence on the effects upon training of the introduction of the National Health Service in 1948 in file H.27/2; and circulars produced by the Institute, 1940s-1960s, including course summaries and the proposals for the integrated course of nurse education, are files P.3/1-4. Memoranda and syllabuses found among publications now in section P.6-9 have been transferred to files L.3-4.
