087018/Z/08/Z: Fun with Cancer Patients

Project Summary:Brain Lobel will conduct research and development for the project FUN WITH CANCER PATIENTS, a collaboration with 15 current cancer patients that creates performative interventions inside their treatment course. Documentation of these interventions and accompanying narratives will form a gallery exhibition and publication, providing a unique perspective on the psychosocial experiences of those with serious illness. During research and development, Brain will create the project website, pilot three interventions, and establish contacts with interested hospitals/clinics, galleries and publishers. The trival interventions will be evaluated for their scientific relevance and resosnance with audiences.
