About this work

Description

A print of a collage depicting the entertainer in various outfits. Souvenir postcard of music-hall 'light comedy artist' Dare Derek. He is shown in a variety of poses, both clothed and unclothed. The print catalogued is signed back and front by 'Ted' (possibly Dare Derek was a stage name?), and sent from Ted to Brian. Given 'Derek's' playful nakedness, there could easily be some gay connotation (James Gardiner)
