Biographical note
The Buxton Trophy competition was introduced at the 8th Casualties Union annual reunion in 1950. This was a competition for teams of four from external societies and organisations run on a regional elimination basis. The final was held as part of the annual Casualties Union Day. There were four trophies available: diagnosis; first aid; international; and youth.
